The Motherhood Closet
I started collecting dresses a few years ago for moms to wear during their sessions, then it became my "thing." Every time I find a dress I would die to wear I save for it, and buy it. But it's not for me, it's for you! I can now say that my client closet is growing to almost be at a point where no momma will need to worry about finding a dress or outfit, almost! For those that the client closet may not work out, I have an amazing app that allows me to style your whole family. I'll explain how the whole styling process works after I show you my dresses!
Here are the dresses I have in my collection, available for any mom to wear. They range from XS to L, but I can do wonders with clips and even open up the back zippers if needed. The great thing about photography is I usually only photograph you from the front.
The Styling Process
When you book your session, it includes personal styling. This process truly is personal, as we need to figure out what everyone would wear in a way that works for you. Typically, this is how it works:
About 4 weeks before your session (assuming you booked well in advance), I will start the styling process with you. I know this seems a bit crazy, but if you're anything like me, you'll buy many different outfits before finding the perfect choice. I want to leave you plenty of room to try on, return, repeat.
If you are doing a family session on the beach or park and want to wear one of my dresses, you are welcome to try them on before your session date. You can book a complimentary style session at my studio in Westbrook, Mon-Fr from 9-2. You will try them on and take the one you choose with you, and return it after your session.
If you are doing a studio newborn session or studio petite, you can choose your dress the day of your session, we'll book a little extra time for you to try them on.
If I don't have a dress that fits, we will shop for a dress together and I will purchase it for the studio collection and you can be the first to wear it for your session.
For the rest of the family and if you choose to purchase your own, I have an incredible app that helps you and I put together coordinating outfits that will work with the look your imagine and your budget. I love this option as well because you can also wear all the outfits again for family events like weddings, Easter, Mother's Day or just a fun, dressy day out!
