How Lucky Am I?

When Allison asked me to photograph one of her family's last days in her childhood home, I jumped at the chance. Even though I had never done anything like this before, I was thrilled as a story-teller. I wanted to capture this loving family and do their memories justice.

I was so focused on capturing all the faces, fun wallpaper and sunroom full of beautiful light that I forgot one of the most important things- to get a beautiful photograph of the outside! So, after delivering the gallery, I headed back over to this home early in the morning right before the new owners were going to move in. I think it was meant to be. The picture I got with the sun just rising above this home was exactly what I would want as a photographer.

I don't think I need to say much else about this special session, because I think the video speaks for itself.
