Your maternity session (and a toddler)

When you're expecting baby #2, you don't yet understand how it's possible to split up your love. I get it! As a mom of 3 boys, each time I never really understood or was able to image a life with the additional kiddo. I adored the baby growing in my belly, but still couldn't envision the dynamic.

This expecting momma feels this hard! Her sweet little girl is attached at her hip. Even during our session, she never wanted mom too far away. And as a mother, you almost fear a world where your toddler might have to complete or feel left out of the love. After having 3 let me assure you, you just change. Your toddler just changes. For the better! You magically adapt and it's a miracle to witness and your toddler adapts too, sometimes with a few tears.

So, should you include your (wild) toddler in your maternity or newborn photography session? YES! A million times over YES!

This is SO SO SO special. Look at these images! One day she'll look at these and think "It was just Mommy and me!" and that was a special moment. But moments are fleeting, time never stops unless you photograph it!

A note from Ashley

Hello and thank you so much for checking out my work! I hope you enjoyed the images from my latest studio maternity session!

I have a beautifully simple and bright studio in Westbrook Connecticut, but also travel to my clients’ homes or meet families on location to create beautiful artwork from their images.

If you would like to see more of my work, please browse the Gallery of Work tab and make sure to mention your favorites.

As a mom of three boys, I know that these moments are fleeting. Photography is the only way to capture these moments in time and that’s my ultimate goal with my clients. The portraits of my children are priceless.

If you would like more information about a session, please fill out the contact form on my website and I will personally email or text you back within two business days. My studio is a short drive for anyone living in Middlesex, New London, or New Haven Counties. I also travel throughout the state of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
