The Baker session is such a perfect example of what I hope every family I work with experiences: Connecticut newborn photographer  who grows with your family. Leon's newborn session was intimate and quiet, shot in the soft morning light of their New Haven home. His family session just a few months later was golden and full of cherry petals.

Tips for Planning Your Spring Family Session at Wooster Square


If you're inspired to book a cherry blossom session for your own family, here are a few things I tell every client as their  Connecticut family photographer:

Watch the bloom forecast.  The New Haven urban parks department and local news typically track Wooster Square bloom dates starting in late March. Peak bloom is your window — book your session as soon as you see buds forming.

Go early and during the week to avoid crowds.

Dress in soft, coordinated tones. Blush, ivory, sage, camel, and dusty blue all photograph beautifully against the pink and white blossoms. Avoid bright white (it blows out) and bold prints (they compete with the setting).
