It's all about the lighting
As a natural light photographer, you hear it a lot: "it's all about the light". I agree, it has so much to do with light. And as a matter of fact, Shelby's first comment when she booked her session with me was "I love how you use natural light!"
Oh geez, there is no bigger compliment. As much as light plays a hug role in the outcome of a session, learning how to use the light is actually the key. I got lucky with Shelby. It was a beautiful evening and when we started shooting, the sun was in the perfect spot, and it all turned out great!
But make no mistake, if you happen to have a gray day, that can be beautiful as well. Or a hazy day like the session I had earlier in the week.
So, my tip is: look for the light, use it, stay true to what God gave you that day, and make it natural and beautiful.
